We are excited to introduce you to our WR23 Faith Speaker, Grace Daley. Grace played basketball collegiately at Tulane University. As a freshman in 1996-97, Daley averaged 13.2 points per game as Tulane won the regular-season and tournament championships in Conference USA and earned a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. She was named the league's Freshman of the Year. Her sophomore season, Daley averaged 20.1 points and shot better than 50% from the field. She would not only be an honorable mention selection on the Kodak All-American team for the first of three consecutive seasons, but she was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 2.9 steals per game. Daley saved the best for last as a senior, averaging 21.6 points per game and earning CUSA Player of the Year honors. While at Tulane, the Green Wave boasted a record a record of 99 wins and 23 losses, capping her career with 2,259 points. Grace followed up her collegiate career by being drafted with the 5th overall pick in the 2000 WNBA draft. Grace played 71 regular season games for the Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty, Houston Comets & the Phoenix Mercury. After her WNBA career Grace played oversees for seven years. Grace’s number 4 jersey was retired in December of 2006. In July of this year, Grace was inducted into the Greater New Orleans, Sports Hall of Fame. Grace also served on staff with the Fellowship of Christian and loves to share with audiences how much they need her daily. We all need, “Grace Daily.” Make sure you’re at WR23 to hang with Grace and all our other friends!
