Milena is originally from Orlando, FL and earned a Bachelors of Science in Marketing from the University of Central Florida. Upon graduating, Milena became the Director of Marketing for Stratos Jets and Central Florida Impatient Medicine where she oversaw all of marketing and communications for each group. Milena relocated to Jacksonville in 2005, to begin her career in professional sports working with the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation as the Communications and Programs Manager. During this time, she also obtained her Masters of Science in Sports Management at Jacksonville University.
Milena and her husband Mauricio founded their own non-profit, World Sports United, in 2005, to fill a need for sports equipment in areas of the world where resources are hard to come by. Their non-profit has since flourished and now offers missions trips to college coaches and players all over the world. They both have a heart for the poor and have seen first-hand what the power of sports can do to transform communities through Jesus Christ.
In 2020, Milena joined the FCA team, serving as the Communications Coordinator for northeast Florida.
Milena is married to Mauricio, former Men’s Head Soccer Coach at Jacksonville University and now Manager of Business Development for USLJAX, and is a mother to a baby boy, Maddox. She loves art, skiing, running, traveling, spending time with family and playing soccer.
