Derek joined Northeast Florida FCA as Collegiate Ministry Representative in early 2022. Since joining the team, Derek has been actively launching FCA collegiate ministry on the campuses of University of North Florida, Jacksonville University, Florida State College Jacksonville, Edward Waters University and Trinity Baptist College.

Derek played football at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he used his platform as a Christian Athlete to speak to high school and middle school FCA huddles across Oklahoma. 

Derek has served FCA as a camp huddle leader, a student leader on his campus, and as a Marketing Intern. The opportunity to build the collegiate FCA ministry in Jacksonville is a role that he is confident God led him to based on his own FCA experience and his passion for collegiate athletes being in community.
